Washington Post App Reviews

Has NEVER let me down.

Great app. Almost like having the real paper when I am out it town. That the Post makes so much available for little or nothing is wonderful. Great writing on everything from world events to sports. Easy to find local news. Love the way op-Ed pieces are grouped together. And mine opens with an irresistible picture of a young woman crossing the Jefferson Monument!

Review of App

Solid source of news, which has improved in turning over stories. Better than a year ago. Room exists for improvement .

Easy to use

Im a print subscriber so I get the digital version as part of my subscription. I alternate back and forth between the iPhone and the paper edition. Each has its advantages; the paper edition is much easier to browse since moving from story to story is as easy as flipping a paper page. The digital edition is very well organized and up to date and I enjoy reading it anywhere I have my phone. The best of both worlds! FYI, the iOS version is much superior to the Kindle version on my Kindle Fire whose interface is somewhat clunky compared to iOS.

Great News Outlet

Great news outlet, crappy app!! I have paid good money for a subscription, which I can readily use via Safari or from the emails I receive-but God help me if I try to use the app! Treats me like a nobody and demands 5x the payment for essentially local content I DONT WANT, to use the app. Forget the App! Just use Safari!! Maybe one day theyll figure out how to fix this blunder!!

Great news app

The Washington Post app is easy to use & a terrific way to keep up with breaking news, opinions, and more. Scroll through headlines then click on an article youd like to read in depth. Links to related stories are easy to navigate. This is a terrific news app.

Great source, great app

This is one of the best news sources on one of the best app interfaces.

What happened to journalism?

Lately, articles would seem to be written by the staff of Buzzfeed, only theyre less insightful, and more cynical.

Great app but...

Love the app Love the WP Hate that my digital subscription is limited to my laptop would have to pay extra for smartphone too!?!

Reliable easy format

Love the W Post app. Easy to read and consistent reliability.

WashPost Regular

This app works very well. Content is well organized. It could be improved by including more local news and the Thursday Living section available in the newsprint editions.

Great!!

My favorite newspaper in a great app!!!

Excellent accurate news

This app generously offers well written, accurate and up to the minute news. Users can view a limited number of articles for free. That experience may inspire users to subscribe since it becomes clear that most other free sources cannot provide the content and depth of this "paper". The quality of journalism is up to or better than the standards of the NY Times.

From a real Washingtonian

I love it they just need to add more features for the Metro Section

Not a good app

This app is laughably bad. When I see an article I want to read, I click it and am told that my Washington Post digital national subscription doesnt permit me to see that article. So I google the article and up it comes, permitting me to read it in full Or I go to my laptop and read it right off the Post site, no problems. I have sought clarification from the Post but have no more clarity. The app does provide interesting headlines but just not a clear path to go beyond the headlines.

Boo Bezos!

Ill start by saying Ive been reading this newspaper since I was in middle school. Lately, since Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon, bought WaPost, the journalistic quality and integrity has suffered greatly. This paper has become a mechanism to further Bezos own political beliefs. All I can read anymore is the sports page...

Good news, ok app

Washington Post remains one of the best newspapers in the world. The app is ok but has some limitations: it doesnt work well disconnected from the Internet (eg in subway tunnels); some of the most interesting content such as WonkBlog can be hard to access.

Very good news app and easy to use. Recommend it to any who are interest in whats going on today in the world and at home. Even better on the iPad.

Great newspaper, great journalism an good app!

The title above says it all !

My needs are met

I mostly read the headline stories when I have a few minutes to check the news. This app more than meets the needs which I have as a mobile reader.

Quite satisfying

Much improved. Easy to use. A joy to have. Download speeds are pretty good, though international use can be rather slow. Getting the Sunday paper in Australia takes a while.
